Fomo vs Banana Gun: Copy Trading Compared

Fomo vs Banana Gun for copy trading: use Fomo to discover traders and Banana Gun to copy them with spending limits, market cap filters and exits.

Fomo (fomo.family) and Banana Gun do different jobs. Fomo is where you discover and follow traders. Banana Gun is where a copy trade runs with limits you set and exits attached to the position.

Pick Fomo if you want to browse profiles and see what other people buy. Pick Banana Gun if you want a wallet copied automatically inside a spending cap. You can use both, with Fomo for finding a name and Banana Gun for acting on it.

This comparison uses only what each product publishes, and marks a cell "not documented" where we found nothing.

What is Fomo, and what does it do well?

Fomo describes itself as "the only social-first trading app" with "multichain & gasless" trading. Its leaderboard lets you "discover and follow" the best traders, and it sends "real time notifications for what the best are buying".

That social layer is the product. You can follow a trader with hundreds of thousands of followers and see what they do. On 30 September 2026, Fomo Wallet Finder listed Unipcs (@unipcs) with 704K followers and $14M all-time PnL, point farm capital (@pointfarmcap) with $10M and TheSolstice (@The__Solstice) with $7.2M.

These are all-time profile totals, so they say nothing about this month. A big total also does not tell you how the trader got there, how long it took, or whether you could have copied any of it.

Fomo's pricing and fees are not something we found documented, so we leave that cell empty rather than guess.

Where does Fomo fall short for copying?

Two places, based on what Fomo publishes.

First, the address. Fomo shows followers, trades and PnL for a trader but not the wallet address. If you want to watch or copy that wallet elsewhere, you need a tool to find it.

Second, exits. Fomo's copy trading guide (1 Feb 2026) and risk guide (25 Dec 2025) describe exits as notifications plus levels you hold in your head. Neither describes a take profit or stop loss attached to a copied position.

If you want an exit that sells while you sleep, check Fomo's current docs for whether that exists now. As of those two guides, it is not described.

What does Banana Gun do well, and what does it cost?

Banana Gun is a Telegram bot at t.me/BananaGun_bot, with a web terminal called Banana Gun Pro at pro.bananagun.io. According to bananagun.io on 1 October 2026 it has 26M+ lifetime trades, $16B+ lifetime volume and 1.5M+ lifetime users.

Copy trading runs in the bot. You pick a wallet, set how much each copy spends, and add caps. Buy Fixed spends the same amount every time, Buy Percent scales to the target, and Spending Limit caps the total per wallet.

Copy Sells can be on or off, and Setup Limit Order attaches a take profit or stop loss. A Trailing Stop Loss raises its trigger as price makes new highs. That is the exit control Fomo's guides do not describe.

The fee is 0.5% on Ethereum manual buys and limit orders and 1% on other chains, including Solana. Every trade also earns Banana Bonus cashback.

Where does Banana Gun fall short?

The bot copies a wallet you paste in. The sources we read describe no social feed with follower counts, so you bring the name from somewhere else.

Copies also fill after the copied wallet's trade. On a fast move your price is worse, and more copiers on one wallet push your fill further back.

The caps cost you trades too. With a Max Market Cap of $500K, a $600K buy is not copied, and that includes the winners. A Tax Limit of 10% means a 15% tax token fails to copy.

And the 1% fee is paid each way on Solana. On a 1 SOL Buy Fixed copy that is 0.01 SOL to get in and a further 1% of the sale value to get out.

The Banana Gun docs also warn that some target wallets buy pump-and-dumps or honeypots and use copiers as exit liquidity. Fomo's follower counts do not protect you from that.

How do you use Fomo and Banana Gun together?

The workflow takes Fomo's discovery and Banana Gun's controls.

1. Find a trader on Fomo

Browse the Fomo leaderboard and note the username or @handle. Fomo Wallet Finder also lists a TRENDING set of Fomo traders with followers, trades, PnL and volume. Solana Tracker runs a third-party FOMO board at solanatracker.io/leaderboard/fomo, but it showed "No data yet" in every window on 1 October 2026.

2. Get the wallet address

Open fomowalletfinder.com and paste the profile link, username or @handle. It returns verified Solana and EVM addresses with GMGN, Nansen and Cielo links. It is free, needs no signup and never asks to connect your wallet.

Warning: new lookups are limited to 2 a day. Traders already indexed are unlimited.

3. Check the wallet before you copy it

Open the GMGN, Nansen or Cielo link, or paste the address into an explorer, and read the last trades. Look at whether the wallet exits what it buys.

4. Paste it into the Banana Gun bot

Open t.me/BananaGun_bot, tap Copy Trading or send /copytrade, tap New Copy Trade and paste the address. Menu names can shift between bot updates, so if a label reads slightly differently, look for the closest match in the same menu. Then set Buy Fixed, Buy Only Once, your market cap range and a limit order.

The EVM address returned by the finder is the same on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain and Hyperliquid. For more, read how wallet mirroring works across chains and how to track a wallet on-chain.

Which one fits you?

Choose Fomo if you want to read profiles and see which traders have followers before you spend anything. It also suits you if you prefer to place trades by hand after a notification.

Choose Banana Gun if you want a copy to run inside a spending limit, a market cap range and a stop loss you set in advance. That suits someone with a day job who cannot watch alerts.

Use both if you want a wide pool of names and automatic execution. Fomo supplies the names and Banana Gun runs the copy.

Do neither if you cannot afford the loss. A copy fills after the original trade, and a trader with a large all-time total can still be wrong next week. Read which protections are on by default in Banana Gun before you fund a wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Is Fomo a copy trading app?

Fomo is a social trading app where you follow traders and get notifications on what they buy. Its copy trading guide, published 1 Feb 2026, describes exits as notifications plus levels you hold in your head. We could not find a take profit or stop loss attached to a copied position in it.

Can I copy a Fomo trader on Banana Gun?

Yes, if you get the trader's wallet address. Fomo does not show it, but Fomo Wallet Finder returns the verified Solana and EVM addresses from a profile link, username or @handle. Paste the address into /copytrade in the bot.

Is Fomo Wallet Finder free?

Yes. It is free, needs no signup and does not ask you to connect a wallet. New lookups are limited to 2 a day, and traders already indexed are unlimited.

Which is cheaper, Fomo or Banana Gun?

Banana Gun charges 0.5% on Ethereum manual buys and limit orders and 1% on other chains, including Solana. Fomo's fees are not documented in the sources we read, so we cannot compare them. Check Fomo's own pages for current pricing.

Does Banana Gun copy a trader's sells?

It can. Copy Sells is a setting you turn on or off, and Sell Percentage scales the sale, so a target selling 20% with a 50% setting makes you sell 10%. You can also attach a limit order to the copy.

Open the Banana Gun bot and paste your first wallet into /copytrade.
